From 17 to 21 June 2024, ten sisters from Alexanderdorf and ten from the daughter convent in Dinklage met at the convent Huysburg, near Magdeburg. The occasion was several anniversaries from the history of both communities. They wanted to look at and reflect on the past, present and future together. Brothers from the convent at Huysburg were also present for the talks. A special aspect of the shared past was brought to mind by the visit to the German Partition Memorial in Marienborn on 18 June. In the afternoon, they talked about their personal experiences with the division of Germany. How great is the gratitude after such a day that it is over. The following day, 19 June, the focus was on the present of the three communities with their limits and opportunities. On 20 June, the managing director of "Zukunftswerkstatt Mitteldeutschland" (Workshop for the future in Central Germany) was invited to talk about the future. He provided a great impetus to continue the commitment and courageously shape the challenges of the future. With thanks and many good impressions, everyone returned to the daily routine of their monasteries on 20 June.
