This year, St. Gertrude Abbey in Alexanderdorf is hosting the meeting of the prioresses of our European Benedictine Congregation of the Resurrection.
Under the guidance of Sister Agnieszka Jarkowska SCdSC,
the abbesses and prioresses explored the topic of spiritual abuse.
In addition to introductory lectures by the speaker, they worked in small groups to identify risk factors and protective factors.
These will be incorporated into guidelines that will provide guidance and assistance to the individual communities.
During a joint dinner, the Alexanderdorf sisters had the opportunity to talk to the guests and hear news from the individual monasteries.
After the work was completed, a trip to the Zinna monastery was on the programme, a place of Benedictine-Cistercian life until 1553, as evidenced by its impressive buildings to this day.
